Steve Kanaly

Well known veteran film actor, Steve Kanaly, has pursued an avid interest in the outdoors from his early childhood.  Steve thanks his dad for “bringing him up right” by sharing his great love of hunting, fishing and all the great outdoors has to offer.  Steve grew up in urban Los Angeles but his father was from Nebraska where hunting and fishing were a “way of life”.  A bow and arrow, a BB gun and his dad’s careful coaching put Steve on the right path by age ten.  Several years of “bird-dogging” on quail and dove hunts and an NRA Hunter Safety course earned Steve his first Winchester at age fourteen.  Working weekends at the local trap and skeet range enforced Steve’s understanding of firearms safety and allowed him to develop expert shooting skills during his high school years.

Steve served in the U.S. Army as an infantry radio operator attached to the First Air Cavalry in the Vietnam conflict.  On his safe return from overseas duty he resumed his academic interest as a fine arts major at California State University and found that “perfect job” as manager of a small trap and skeet range.  As luck would have it, one of Steve’s clients was film writer, John Milius, who enlisted Steve as a technical advisor on the Vietnam War epic “Apocalypse Now”.  When Milius suggested Steve for an acting role in “The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean”, film director John Huston hired him on the spot  without an audition and Steve was on the road to a new career!

Best known for his role as Ray Krebbs in the long running hit television series Dallas, Steve’s career as an actor and director has taken him to all corners of the world with leading roles in feature films, television and theatre.  You can bet that Steve has his fishing rod and a favorite shotgun along with him to enjoy another adventure in the great outdoors.

The comic from Pensacola, Fla. has become one of the nation’s funniest observers of basic Bubba nature simply by calling it like he sees it.  In a recent interview when asked to identify his “brand of humor”, he replied, “I just repeat what I hear and add my opinion to it!”  Whether it’s entertaining audiences on television talk shows, performing as an opening act in concert halls or doing his standup routine as a regular guest on the World Famous Grand Ole Opry, T. Bubba has earned a reputation as a down-to-earth humorist whose quick wit crosses all regional, gender, generational and class lines. His debut CD on MCA Nashville, I’m Confused, (recorded live at the Pensacola Little Theater during two sold-out nights in July 2001) captures his ability to meld a Southern accent with humorous insights that make everyone – regardless of where they call home -- laugh. T. Bubba’s routine draws as much from the comedic insights of Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Cosby as Minnie Pearl and Jerry Clower. Read more about T Bubba at www.tbubba.com.

Michael Collins

Michael was raised in South Carolina where he learned to love the outdoors at the side of his stepfather, a true conservationist.  This continual appreciation has been demonstrated in all fields of his work.

Through his love of all things outdoors, Michael, learned to not just paint what he saw, but to make it as lifelike as possible.  Taking great pride in the smallest of details is evidenced in being able to see the finger nails on the hand of a Mexican officer holding a sword engraved on his famous Alamo gun {Clouds of War}, to a flea on the collar of a commissioned dog portrait.

One of the things that makes Michael truly unique is his ability to master all aspects of art.  From painting, to the design of custom knives and bronze sculptures, there are very few artisans in his league of limitless abilities.  Michael is a world class engraver, with several of his custom pieces now considered priceless and are being held in private collections all over the world, including three former presidents.  He has also designed for many outdoor-related companies such as Browning.

Michael fells one of his greatest achievements is having Athos Menaboni suggest that he be the one to do the restoration work on his murals. Menaboni is regarded as one of the greatest wildlife and mural artist of his time. When Michael had completed the work, Menaboni was brought in to view the restoration. After a long time, Menaboni stated” I can’t tell where you did your work. It looks just as it did the day I completed it”. Since that time Michael has restored Menaboni’s murals across the south including the R.J. Reynolds mansion on Sapelo Island for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Swan House in Atlanta for the Atlanta Historical Society.

Michael's works have been auctioned at many charity events, always bringing an exceptional price for the organization and making him in constant demand.

In addition to his phenomenal talents as an artist, Michael competes in archery and sporting clays, currently sitting first in his class in the southeastern region of the National Indoor Archery Championship and 6th in the Nation. This spring he won his division and set a new state record at the Georgia State Indoor Championships. Michael also won the gold medal in Sporting Clays at the 2003 Georgia State games.
